The Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) held its 53rd Annual General Meeting earlier today, where members gathered to review a year of significant progress in safeguarding consumer interests. As the organization looks toward its 55th anniversary, the meeting served as a platform to highlight key achievements and reaffirm its commitment to an evolving marketplace.
One of the central topics of discussion was the ongoing effort to fortify protections within the renovation sector.
Further underscoring its dedication to digital innovation, CASE announced that its consumer price comparison tool, Price Kaki, has surpassed 200,000 downloads. Additionally, a collaboration with the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has piloted unit pricing for common grocery items across more than 180 major supermarkets islandwide, increasing price transparency.
In a demonstration of proactive consumer advocacy, CASE successfully negotiated with CaseTrust-accredited businesses and secured goodwill complimentary treatments to support affected clients from the premature closure of Wan Yang Health Centres.
