Expanding the Film and Television Investment Landscape Through Cultural Capital
The inaugural event was fully sponsored by Mr. Huang Zeming, Chief Advisor of DH Wealth Management Pte Ltd. His strategic support helps Chinese-language cinema reach overseas markets while promoting international exchange in film and television.
Mr. Huang highlighted Singapore’s unique position as a global hub. Its multicultural environment makes it a natural platform for international film awards. He also noted that the creative industries are a key driver of Singapore’s economic diversification.
During the ceremony, Mr. Huang appeared on stage as an awards presenter, alongside well-known local directors and actors. His participation demonstrated active engagement with the film industry and encouraged collaboration.
Coinciding with Singapore’s 60th year of nationhood, the event attracted over 50 films from Mainland China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, competing across 18 award categories. The jury was chaired by Donnie Yen, with members including Cheung Tung-cho and Li Shaohong.
Mr. Huang emphasised that the awards mark a meaningful integration of culture and capital. Supporting the Golden Singa Awards is also an investment in the brand value of Chinese-language cinema. Going forward, he will continue working with industry partners. His goal is to promote innovation, strengthen regional cultural exchange, and develop the Golden Singa Awards into a leading Asian platform for Chinese-language film.
